The beginning

A connection worth carrying forward.

Team Canada Armwrestling Federation began in 2019 after the CAWF Executive decided to separate from the World Armwrestling Federation.

Joey and Ashley Costello, Gord Squire, Dave Hicks and Patrick Callan were determined to maintain Canada’s relationship with WAF. Their work created a new federation built around international connection, athlete opportunity and a clear route from Canadian competition to the world stage.

Keep Canada connected. Give its athletes a way forward.
